Putting on a transfemoral prosthesis is a daily routine task that can be very tedious. The better a prosthesis embraces the residual limb, the better it can support the prosthesis wearer. Since the prosthesis and residual limb are closely connected, there is a lot of friction during the donning process, which makes it difficult to put the prosthesis on and may cause a lot of physical strain on the arms, hands and shoulders. In addition, the skin of the residual limb is thin and particularly sensitive, so it does not tolerate much friction. Das Anlegen einer Oberschenkelprothese ist eine täglich wiederkehrende Routineaufgabe, die sehr mühsam sein kann. Je besser eine Prothese den Stumpf umfasst, desto besser kann diese den Prothesenträger unterstützen. Da Prothese und Stumpf eng miteinander verbunden sind, entsteht beim Anziehen der Prothese viel Reibung, welche das Anziehen erschwert und zu einer starken körperlichen Belastung der Arme, Hände und Schultern führen kann. Dies trägt zu einem besseren Kontakt zwischen Stumpf und Prothese und damit zu einem komfortableren Sitz in Ihrer Prothese bei.
